Trusting God with the process
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
— Isaiah 43:1
Reflection
One of the hardest parts of faith isn’t believing God can change us—it’s trusting Him while He’s changing us.
Most of us want a quick fix. A clean ending. A clear sign that everything is going to work out. But God usually works through a process, and the process can feel slow, uncomfortable, and uncertain.
That’s why this verse hits me so deep.
God doesn’t start by telling us to “figure it out.” He starts by reminding us who we are to Him:
“You are Mine.”
That means I’m not rejected. I’m not forgotten. I’m not on my own. Even when I’m still learning, still growing, and still working through life one day at a time—God is still holding on to me.
When God says He has redeemed you, He’s saying the past doesn’t get the final word. When He says He calls you by name, He’s saying you’re not just another face in the crowd—He sees you personally. And when He says you are His, He’s saying your life has purpose, even in the waiting.
Trusting God with the process means I stop trying to control every outcome and start focusing on the next right step. It means I keep showing up, keep praying, and keep moving forward—even when the progress feels quiet.
Takeaway
If you’re in a season where you feel stuck or unsure, remember this:
God redeemed you.
God knows your name.
God still claims you.
The process doesn’t mean God is far away. It often means He’s closer than ever.
Prayer
Lord,
Help me trust You with the process.
When I feel uncertain, remind me that I belong to You.
Give me patience for growth and strength for today.
Teach me to focus on the next right step and leave the outcomes in Your hands.
Amen.
