1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Reflection
This verse is a powerful reminder that God’s grace is not something we have to earn. Forgiveness doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from being honest. When we confess, we’re not surprising God with our struggles; we’re simply bringing them into the light.
What stands out to me is that God is described as faithful and just. That means forgiveness isn’t based on how good or bad our day was. It’s based on who God is. No matter how many times we fall, He is willing to forgive and cleanse us when we come to Him with a sincere heart.
Action Step for Today
Take a quiet moment today and honestly talk to God. Confess what you’ve been carrying—guilt, shame, mistakes, or struggles. Don’t rush it. Receive His forgiveness and let go of what He has already forgiven.
Short Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness and grace. Help me to be honest with You and myself. Cleanse my heart, renew my mind, and help me walk in freedom today. Amen.
