When the Plan Doesn’t Make Sense
There have been moments in my life where I’ve looked up and asked God, “What are You doing?” Not out of anger—just confusion. I was praying, trying, showing up, and still… nothing seemed to move. And that’s the part people don’t talk about much: sometimes faith feels like walking forward without a map.
Waiting is hard. Unanswered prayers are even harder. We hear all the time that God has a plan, but nobody really prepares you for the season where that plan doesn’t come with a timeline, an explanation, or even reassurance in the moment.
Waiting Reveals What We Really Trust
I’ve learned that trusting God isn’t about understanding every step. It’s about choosing faith without having all the answers.
Waiting has a way of revealing what we truly trust in: do we trust God only when things are going well, or can we trust Him when everything feels uncertain? Because it’s easy to believe when life is calm—real trust is built when life is shaky.
Unanswered Doesn’t Mean Unheard
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that unanswered prayers don’t mean unheard prayers. Sometimes God is protecting us. Sometimes He’s preparing us. And sometimes He’s strengthening us for what’s ahead—building something in us that we couldn’t learn any other way.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5
Choosing Faith Anyway
Faith is often choosing to say, “I don’t get it, but I trust You anyway.” That isn’t weakness—that’s surrender. And surrender is where growth happens.
If you’re in a season of waiting right now, hear me on this: you’re not forgotten. You’re not behind. And you’re not failing. God is still working, even when you can’t see it. His timing is rarely our timing, but it’s always intentional.
A Simple Prayer
God, help me trust You when I don’t understand what You’re doing. Give me peace in the waiting, strength for today, and faith for tomorrow. Teach me to lean on You, not my own understanding. Amen.
