Today’s Verse
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
— 1 Peter 4:8
My Reflection
This verse hits me in a real way because it keeps it simple: love is the priority. Not when it’s convenient. Not when people “deserve it.” But above all—love each other deeply.
And I think the second part is just as powerful: love covers a multitude of sins. That doesn’t mean we ignore everything or pretend wrong doesn’t matter. It means love doesn’t live to expose, embarrass, or keep score. Love doesn’t bring up old stuff just to win an argument. Love makes room for grace.
Sometimes I have to check myself because it’s easy to get caught up in being right, being frustrated, or feeling hurt. But God is reminding me today that real strength isn’t in holding grudges— it’s in choosing love anyway. Deep love. Patient love. Forgiving love.
If I’m being honest, this verse is a challenge… but it’s also a comfort. Because I’m grateful God has loved me deeply even when I didn’t have it together. And if He can love me like that, I can try to reflect that love to the people around me—one day at a time.
Prayer
Lord, help me to love people deeply today. Teach me how to be patient, forgiving, and steady. Help me not to keep score or hold onto old hurts. Fill my heart with Your kind of love—the kind that covers, heals, and restores. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s simple action step: Show love on purpose—send a kind text, let something small go, or encourage someone who needs it.
You {R} Not Alone.
