Verse of the Day: Don’t Give Up Doing Good

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

— Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

Life has a way of testing our patience and faith. Sometimes it feels like we’re doing all the right things — staying sober, praying, working on our mental health, showing kindness — and yet we don’t see the results we hoped for. Those are the moments when this verse speaks the loudest: don’t get tired of doing good.

Doing good doesn’t always mean grand gestures. Sometimes it’s just choosing to keep showing up when your mind tells you to quit. It’s keeping your heart open even after it’s been broken. It’s continuing to forgive, to pray, and to believe that better days are ahead.

There have been times in my own life when I felt worn down from the fight — whether it was against addiction, depression, or just the weight of everyday struggles. But looking back, every small step forward mattered. Every moment I refused to give up brought me closer to the blessings I have today.

This verse reminds us that God’s timing is perfect. The harvest doesn’t come right away — it comes when it’s ready. And just because we can’t see the progress, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Healing takes time. Growth takes faith.

So if you’re tired, keep going anyway. If you’re struggling, keep believing anyway. God sees your effort, your heart, and your perseverance. Your “harvest” — your peace, your breakthrough, your healing — is coming in due time.

Don’t give up before the blessing arrives.

Keep planting seeds of faith, kindness, and love. One day, you’ll look back and realize that every hard day was worth it — because you didn’t give up on yourself or on God’s plan for you.
